Summer — God's Warm Sunshine

Memory Verse "It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both summer and winter." — Psalm 74:17 (NIV)

Learning Objective

Students will learn about summer and how God created the sun to warm the earth.

Lesson Content

Summer is the warmest season! The sun shines brightly and the days are long. God made the sun to give us light and warmth.

In summer, fruits and vegetables grow big and ripe. We can eat watermelon, strawberries, and corn — all gifts from God!

Many flowers bloom in summer. Bees buzz from flower to flower. God designed bees to help flowers grow — how clever!

Summer is a wonderful time to play outside, swim, and enjoy God's beautiful creation!

Hands-On Activity

Draw a big bright sun on yellow paper. Around the sun, draw all the things you love about summer — flowers, fruits, swimming, butterflies. Thank God for summer!
