Lesson Content

You already know how to count to 10! Now let's keep going — 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20!

After 10, we add more: 11 is like saying ten and one more. 12 is ten and two more. Can you see the pattern? God loves patterns!

God can count much higher than 20! The Bible says God counts all the stars in the sky and calls each one by name. Wow!

Let's practice counting to 20. Count your fingers — that's 10! Now count your toes — that's 20 altogether!

Hands-On Activity

Use stickers or stamps to make a counting page from 1 to 20. Put 1 sticker next to the number 1, 2 stickers next to 2, and so on up to 20. Count them all when you are done!

  • What number comes after 10?
  • How many fingers and toes do you have altogether?
  • Who counts all the stars in the sky?
