Shapes in God's World

Memory Verse "He sits above the circle of the earth." — Isaiah 40:22

Learning Objective

Students will learn to identify circles, squares, and triangles.

Lesson Content

God's world is full of shapes! Let's learn about three shapes today: circles, squares, and triangles.

A circle is round like the sun and the moon. A square has four sides that are all the same. A triangle has three sides and three corners.

Look around you! A clock is a circle. A window can be a square. A slice of pizza is a triangle. God put shapes everywhere in His creation!

Hands-On Activity

Find circles, squares, and triangles in the room. Draw and color each shape. Use shapes to make a picture of a house.

Discussion Questions

  • What shape is the sun?
