Lesson Content

Today we are learning about the number 5! Hold up five fingers — that's your whole hand! Count them — one, two, three, four, five!

One day, a huge crowd of people came to hear Jesus teach. They were all very hungry, but there was no food! A little boy came forward with his lunch — just FIVE small loaves of bread and two fish.

Jesus took the boy's small lunch, thanked God for it, and then something amazing happened — the food kept multiplying! Jesus fed over 5,000 people with just five loaves and two fish! Nothing is too small for God to use. He can do amazing things!

Hands-On Activity

Use play dough or paper to make five loaves of bread and two fish. Practice writing the number 5. Count five items in your lunch or snack.
